On February 3, 2025, the sixth day of the Lunar New Year, First Gold had the honor of attending the inaugural Lunar New Year opening ceremony of the Hong Kong Gold Exchange (HKGX). The event was officiated by the Acting Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Mr. Chan Ho-lam, who showcased gold bars weighing approximately 200 kilograms and valued at over HKD 130 million. Among them, First Gold's kilogram gold bars were prominently displayed on stage, symbolizing First Gold's significant position in the Hong Kong gold market and attracting the attention of numerous industry professionals.

With a history of over 115 years, the Hong Kong Silver and Gold Exchange Society has been renamed the Hong Kong Gold Exchange, taking over the spot trading of gold and silver since January 1 of this year. The Chairman of the Hong Kong Gold Exchange, Dr. Haywood Cheung, stated that the establishment of the exchange further enhances operational transparency and corporate governance while expanding its recruitment of international members. As the highest-level AA member (Member No. 114) and an approved delivery bar manufacturer of HKGX, First Gold is proud to participate in this significant historical moment.

During the ceremony, a representative from First Gold expressed that with the establishment of the Hong Kong Gold Exchange, they look forward to the exchange enhancing market transparency and improving trading efficiency.
