To provide a more transparent and straightforward understanding of the overnight holding costs, starting from June 2, 2025, the Overnight Swap for precious metals will be calculated based on daily swap points per symbol.

Below is an example to illustrate the new calculation method:

✅ Example Calculation

For the Spot GOLD XAUUSD, suppose the daily Overnight Swap points are:

• Sell (Short Position): +13.73
• Buy (Long Position): -32.03

Formula:
 Swap = Contract Size × Point Value × Daily Swap Points

• If a client holds a short position for 1 standard contract (100oz) overnight:
   100 × 0.01 × 13.73 = Receive USD +13.73
• If a client holds a long position for 1 standard contract (100oz) overnight:
   100 × 0.01 × (-32.03) = Pay USD -32.03

🕒 Swap Update Time

The daily swap values will be updated in the Symbol Properties section of your MT5 trading account around 16:00 (Hong Kong Time) each trading day. Please refer to this section for the most update information.
