Charity Events

First Gold Charity Fund and Hong Kong Parkinson's Disease Association co-organized the "Love for Parkinson's" Charity Sale and with full support from NextgenWell LP22 and Hong Kong Movement Disorder Society was held on 18 February 2017. The purpose of the event was to broaden the community's awareness towards Parkinson's disease while caring and helping patients who suffer from the chronic disorder. Thanks to the generous help and dedication from the volunteers, the charity successfully raised more than HK $100,000.

Over 150 volunteers and Parkinson's patients exerted their best efforts in helping the charity sale in Wan Chai and Causeway Bay. Parkinson’s patients painted and handmade the items for sale, including ink paintings, ornaments, key chains and Zen paintings. In addition, Hong Kong Parkinson's Association pamphlets were also distributed in order to build public’s awareness of the disease. Every volunteer tried their best to contribute to the success of the event. Apart from raising more money for patients who suffer from disease, they also realized the boundless love and care for those in needs.

The Hong Kong’s Parkinson’s disease Association is a non-profit charitable organization, formed by patients who suffer from Parkinson's disease, their family members, caregivers and community members. Apart from demonstrating the mutual help between patients with Parkinson's disease and the community, the Association is also committed to promoting the public awareness on Parkinson's disease, thereby fostering the care and concern for the welfare and rights of patients who suffer from the disease.
